Brighton will become Utah's newest town on January 1, 2020.  The 2019 transition year allows time to organize and hold Town Council elections.  Everyone is welcome to attend the Transition Team meetings.  See TRANSITION TEAM NOTES below for progress on the new town.

Jenna Malone, Keith Zuspan.   (We will elect four Council Members.)

The Town of Brighton consists of 17 square miles.

3.5 sq.miles are private land, 1 sq.mile is Salt Lake City Public Utilities land, and 12.5 sq. mi is US Forest Service public land. 

Brighton has NO jurisdiction over public USFS land.
